Music Modernization Act (MMA)

In 2018, the United States passed a significant piece of legislation pertaining to the music industry, known as the Music Modernization Act (MMA). The main objective of the MMA is to enhance the financial situation of artists, songwriters, and publishers by updating the regulations concerning royalties earned from online streaming services and other sources. One of the most significant aspects of the MMA is the establishment of The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC).
