Music Publshing Glossary

The act passed by Congress has made it legal for consumers to copy records at home for their private, non-commercial use without committing any copyright infringement. The act also imposed a tax on the sale of digital audio recorders and blank media, which is passed along to the music recording and music publishing rightsholders.
